QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Get NIRVANA Assistance, Pursue AMEN Side Project
February 18, 2002Former NIRVANA drummer and FOO FIGHTERS frontman Dave Grohl will sit behind the kit for QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE's comeback appearance at the West Hollywood club The Troubadour on March 7th. Dubbed An Evening of Communion and Fellowship, the show will be the group's first opportunity to perform a number of tracks from their forthcoming album Songs For The Deaf, and will include a guest appearance by former SCREAMING TREES frontman Mark Lanegan. In other news, the much-talked-about side project of QUEENS guitarist/vocalist Josh Homme, bassist Nick Oliveri, and AMEN frontman Casey Chaos has been named HEAD BAND, and will begin work on material for a debut CD in the coming months.
